Croftengea is the heavily peated style of Loch Lomond Distillery, and this Bourbon Cask Finish comes from Murray McDavid's Cask Craft Collection. The spirit was finished in American white oak bourbon casks and is bottled at 44.5% in a 70cl bottle, without added colour.
The finish adds sweet vanilla and caramel to the peat smoke of the Highland malt.
The nose combines peat smoke with pineapple, peach and mango, rounded by vanilla. The palate is creamy, with caramel, vanilla and coconut alongside restrained smoke. The finish is long and soft, with sweet stone fruit, gentle oak spice and lingering smoke.
