Loch Lomond 46 Year Old is a Highland single malt distilled in 1974 and released in May 2022 as the second of three Remarkable Stills Series bottlings. The series honours the distillery's straight-neck stills. Only 200 individually numbered bottles were released, each in a 70cl bottle at 45.3%.
The whisky spent 44 years in American oak, then two years in first-fill Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. It is unpeated and of natural colour.
The nose is toffee, caramelised sugar, peach, mango, vanilla syrup and a rose note. The palate brings pear, orange peel, brown sugar, raisins, sultanas, cinnamon and clove. The finish is long, with gooseberry, lime, nutmeg and toffee.
