Crown Royal Maple Finished Canadian Whisky (75cl, 40%)

This is a Canadian whisky from Crown Royal, made by finishing the house blend in maple-toasted oak barrels and bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The maple character comes from contact with the wood rather than from added maple syrup or flavouring, which gives a lighter, more integrated maple note. The nose is warm maple and caramel with vanilla and subtle toasted wood. The palate is smooth, with light maple sweetness balanced by rye spice and a caramel backbone. The finish is warm, woody and caramelised, with a clean maple note.
