Crown Royal Marquis is a Canadian blended whisky from the Gimli Distillery in Manitoba, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It is the first nightlife-inspired blend in the Crown Royal line.
The blend combines column and copper pot-distilled whiskies made from corn, rye and malted barley. It is then finished in Caribbean rum casks, which add molasses, tropical fruit and warm spice.
The nose is soft vanilla and honey with caramel and brown sugar. The palate has toffee and vanilla custard, then fig, date and molasses, with gentle rye spice. The finish is clean and mellow, with baking spice and soft oak.
