This is a Canadian whisky from Crown Royal, made at the Gimli Distillery on the shores of Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba. It is a limited release, bottled at 45% in a 75cl bottle.
The mash bill is all barley, 85% unmalted and 15% malted. The spirit is distilled in column stills and matured in charred white American oak barrels.
The nose is cinnamon rolls, sweet cream frosting, vanilla, green apple and toasted oak. The palate is caramel and vanilla with cereal grain, buttered malt, clove and roasted almond. The finish is warm and rounded, with toasted oak, cinnamon and a last hint of green apple.
