Crown Royal Monarch is a commemorative limited-edition blended Canadian whisky marking 75 years of Crown Royal, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
For the anniversary, the master blender made whisky from the Coffey Rye Still in Manitoba a featured component of the blend. This proprietary continuous column still has 80 individual levels and produces the smooth rye spirit at the centre of the blend, giving it a rye-forward profile.
The nose offers oak, sweet caramel, rye and maple syrup. The palate is smooth, with oak spice, black pepper, clove, dark roasted coffee, espresso and milk chocolate. The finish is balanced, with a touch of spice.
