Crown Royal Salted Caramel Flavoured Whisky (75cl, 35%)

This is a flavoured whisky from Crown Royal, made by infusing the brand's Canadian blend with salted caramel. It is bottled at 35% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The caramel and vanilla character that the base whisky takes from its barrels sits underneath the added salted caramel, which brings a savoury salt note to the sweetness. The base also contributes a gentle rye spice. The nose is rich caramel and vanilla with a warm, sweet-savoury hint of salt. On the palate the caramel sweetness is balanced by a little salt, and the finish is warm and sweet with a clean close. It can be served with cola or ginger ale, or used in an Old Fashioned.
