This is the first Millennium Release from Dalmore, a Highland single malt bottled in 2012 as a 12 year old at 57.7% ABV. It was the first cask bottled for Dalmore's custodians, a scheme the distillery introduced that year, and only 421 bottles were filled. Three casks were filled at midnight on 1 January 2000 and released on their 12th, 15th and 18th birthdays. This one spent its first years in American oak ex-bourbon wood before a finish in a Matusalem oloroso sherry cask. The nose is sweet with sherry, apples and candied orange. The palate is light-bodied, meaty and mushroomy before turning sweet. The finish is long, a little bitter and fruity.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
