This Dalrymple is a 13 year old whisky, distilled on 6 April 2011 and bottled in October 2024. It was selected and bottled by Thompson Bros, with 359 bottles filled at 55.3% in 70cl. The whole maturation took place in an Oloroso hogshead.
The nose combines burnt caramel, redcurrants, chestnuts, Vin Santo, orange peel, butterscotch, lime and a note of barbecue sauce. On the palate there is raspberry ice cream, milk chocolate-coated raisins, pine nuts and toasted beechnuts, with a subtle hint of rubber. The finish is drying and slightly chalky, with good persistence.
