Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old is a Highland malt whisky from the highest distillery in Scotland, bottled at 43% in a 1 litre bottle.
The nose is big, crisp, dry and very aromatic, with hints of heather and peat, and the body is smooth and light to medium. The palate brings soft, lasting heather-honey sweetness and vanilla, followed by deeper citrus fruit and hints of malted bread.
The finish is long and surprisingly intense, starting sweetly before giving way to smoke, peat and malt.
