Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the highest and coldest distillery in Scotland, bottled at 43%. It is medium-bodied, with a light, fruity palate, notes of heather and vanilla, and a smoky, peaty aftertaste.
The nose is clean and fresh, with pear, a touch of toffee and a soft floral note. The palate is fruity and rich, with steamed syrup pudding, sponge cake, a little cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish has just enough spice to balance the fruit. It can be drunk neat or with a drop of still spring water.
