Dalwhinnie – 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (1L)

A 15 year old single malt from Dalwhinnie, in a 1000ml bottle. The distillery sits at 326 metres above sea level in the Grampian mountains of the Highlands, making it the highest in Scotland. It was founded by James Buchanan in 1897 and was first called Strathspey before taking the name Dalwhinnie, Gaelic for meeting place. The site was once where cattle drovers and smugglers met on their way south to market. Buchanan used its malt as a core component of his Buchanan and Black & White blends. The malt is described as delicate.
