Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old is a Highland single malt from a distillery in the village of Dalwhinnie, in the Cairngorm National Park. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The distillery is the highest in Scotland, and this is a light to medium-bodied malt. Heather honey and vanilla lead the palate, followed by deeper citrus and a hint of malted bread.
The nose is big, crisp and dry, with heather and a little peat. The long finish begins sweetly before turning to smoke, peat and malt.
