Dalwhinnie – 2006 The Distillers Edition (2021) (70cl, 43%)

Dalwhinnie 2006 The Distillers Edition is an official distillery bottling of Highland single malt, distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2021 at 43% in a 700ml bottle. After its first maturation the whisky was given a second finish in Oloroso sherry casks, which adds depth and warmth while keeping the Dalwhinnie character. The nose is typically described as honey, soft malt, dried fruit and a subtle spiciness. The palate is round, with toffee, raisins, nuts and light sherry sweetness alongside fresh Highland notes, and the finish is medium to long and smooth.
