Dalwhinnie – Distillers Edition 2022 (70cl, 43%)

This is the 2022 Distillers Edition of Dalwhinnie single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The Distillers Edition series uses a two-part maturation, with a second cask chosen to suit the character of the malt, to add depth and complexity. Dalwhinnie stands high between two mountain ranges, on a pass where cattle drovers once met on their way to market. The name means Plain of Meetings in Gaelic. The distillery has made its single malt since 1947 and was fully modernised in 1996. It has the coldest annual mean temperature of any inhabited place in Scotland.
