Dalwhinnie – Distillers Edition (43%)

Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition is a Highland single malt bottled at 43%. Dalwhinnie was founded in 1897 and stands 326 metres above sea level, among the highest distilleries in Scotland. The whisky is aged to the distillery's own standards, then given a second maturation in Oloroso sherry casks, which adds dried fruit, nuts and sweetness. The nose is delicate, with honey, vanilla and stone fruit, alongside chocolate, caramel and spice. The palate is rich and velvety with dried fruit, raisins and caramel, and a lingering honey and vanilla sweetness. The finish is long and warm, with oak and spice.
