Dalwhinnie Winter's Gold is a Highland malt whisky bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited release, and distilling for it takes place only in the cold winter months, from October to March.
The nose is spicy and syrupy, with ripe pear, caramel and apple. On the palate come honey, warming spices, pepper and cinnamon, with baked apple and orange peel. The finish is malty and full of spice, with allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg.
