A 19 year old Highland single malt from Darkness, in a 50cl bottle at 53.1%. It was distilled in the Highlands and spent its final months in Oloroso sherry octave casks.
It is bottled at cask strength, non-chill filtered and with natural colour.
The nose is dark fruit, fig jam and honeyed oak, with roasted nuts, clove, cocoa and a little orange zest. The palate opens with dates, raisins and spiced toffee, then fruitcake, dark chocolate and cinnamon, with vanilla and malt beneath. The finish is long, with sherried fruit, oak spice, caramel, coffee and a delicate nuttiness.
