Daviess County French Oak Cask Finish is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown, bottled at 48% (96 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It is a blend of two bourbon mash bills, one wheated and one ryed.
The bourbon is rested for six months in French oak barrels before bottling. It was one of three bourbons that relaunched the historic Daviess County name in February 2020.
The nose offers honey, vanilla and caramel. The palate is smooth, with hints of chocolate and oak from the barrel finish, and the finish is long and warm, with hints of spicy oak.
