This is an 11 year old Highland single malt from Deanston, distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2023 for the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 79.9, named A Ramble Through Brambles. It was matured in a single first fill bourbon barrel, which yielded 206 bottles, and is bottled at 59.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The notes describe pine needles, dry straw, marmalade and wild strawberries on the nose. The palate brings honey, ginger and barley, and the finish is clean, with lemon, orange and grape juice.
