A single cask Deanston from the Highlands, bottled by Cut Your Wolf Loose, a Brighton-based independent bottler that commissions a different artist for every label. Distilled on 30 August 2012, it was matured in refill bourbon hogsheads and finished in a Moscatel Port pipe before bottling on 18 November 2024. 550 bottles were produced.
It is non-chill-filtered, of natural colour and bottled at a cask strength of 55.8%, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is bready and bright, with ginger heat and orange peel. The palate is warming and rounded, with baking spices, candied ginger and honeyed waxiness, and Moscatel sweetness in the background. The finish, medium to long, brings sweet oak and a gentle kick of pepper.
