This is a 12-year-old Highland single malt from the Deanston distillery in Scotland, matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks.
The distillery uses a gentle filtration at ambient temperature, which is said to preserve the character of the aromas.
It is described as having cereal and honey notes with touches of dried fruit, and vanilla and spice from the bourbon casks. The palate is balanced with a silky texture, followed by a soft, lingering finish.
