This is a 12 year old single malt from Deanston, a distillery in the southern Highlands near Stirling, built in 1965 in a former cotton mill. It is part of the distillery's standard range and was matured in ex-bourbon casks before bottling at 46.3% ABV.
The nose is fresh and floral, with heather honey, citrus, a little vanilla and sweet maltiness. The palate is full and creamy, with sweet toffee, orange and vanilla, more heather honey and a hint of ginger. The finish is long, with honeyed fruit and gentle spice.
