Deanston – 18 Year Old (70cl)

This is an 18 year old single malt from Deanston, first released in 2015 and issued as an annual batch, in a 70cl bottle. It was first laid down in second fill casks, then finished in first fill Bourbon casks from Kentucky. After the finish it went back into the distillery's vaulted warehouse, which has stone walls and a stone roof a metre thick. It is described as sweet and spicy, with barley sugar and gingerbread, and a dry, warming finish.
