Deanston 1991 is a 28 year old single malt Scotch whisky finished for two years in Muscat casks. The distillery is known for a soft, honeyed malt, and the Muscat finish takes it in a fruitier, oilier and fuller-bodied direction.
The colour is rich copper. The nose opens sweet and perfumed, with peach and cereal that recall a fruit crumble. The palate is full-bodied and mouth-coating, with oily citrus, and the short finish ends with a hint of cocoa.
