Deanston Virgin Oak Cask Strength is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, from the first batch of the 2023 release.
The spirit was first filled into American oak ex-bourbon casks, then finished for 9 to 12 months in virgin American oak. It is bottled at cask strength, without added colour and non-chill filtered.
The nose brings woody spice, creamy custard and candied fruit. On the palate there is butterscotch, heather honey and crisp green apples, along with the waxy character Deanston is known for.
