Deanston Virgin Oak is a young single malt that begins its maturation in ex-bourbon casks and is then finished in virgin oak casks from Kentucky. It is bottled at 46.3% ABV.
Deanston is certified organic and runs its distillery on hydro energy.
The nose is fresh and summery, with honey, vanilla and citrus zest. On the palate there are candied fruits, soft creamy toffee and citrus, with subtle ginger and cloves. The finish is lightly spiced, with honeyed malt, citrus and a sweet oakiness.
