Decadent Drams Ardmore 15 Year Old 2009 is an independently bottled Highland single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 53% ABV from an outturn of 226 bottles. It matured mainly in a refill barrel, then spent its final two years in an old refill butt.
The Ardmore character is softly peated and waxy. The nose brings farmyard peat, peppery citrus, green olive brine and woolly smoke. On the palate it is creamy and oily, with peppery smoke, lemon zest, olive oil and gently medicinal peat. The finish is long and savoury, with glowing embers, olives and coal smoke.
