A Bas-Armagnac from Maison Delord in Lannepax, Gascony. It is distilled slowly in antique Sier alembic stills from Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Baco and Folle Blanche, then aged for a minimum of 25 years in French oak barrels in cool, humid cellars. Each bottle is hand-filled, wax-sealed and individually labelled.
Tasting Notes
Seductive and aromatic, with dried fig, candied orange, toffee, honeyed apricot, leather, vanilla and fine oak.
Silky and full-bodied, with caramel, dates, roasted nuts, dark chocolate, nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, old oak, floral honey and tobacco.
Exceptionally long and smooth, with toasted almond, hazelnut, vanilla, dried fruit and a slightly nutty finale with faint tannic structure.
