Destileria Barako Ube Cream Liqueur (70cl, 17%)

This is a cream liqueur from Destileria Barako in the Philippines, built around ube, the purple yam, and bottled at 17% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made in small batches from real ube flavour, fine dairy cream and spirit, with no artificial shortcuts. The nose opens with vanilla, caramelised yam and sweet cream, then coconut and white chocolate. The palate is rich and smooth, with sweet ube, vanilla custard and toasted coconut in a silky texture. The finish is long and velvety, with yam, vanilla cream and a gentle nuttiness. It can be served over ice, as a nightcap, or in cocktails and desserts.
