Devans GianChand Single Malt Whisky (75cl, 42.8%)

GianChand is an Indian single malt from Devans, made in a distillery in the Himalayan foothills near Jammu. It is bottled at 42.8% in a 750ml bottle and has a rich golden colour. The whisky is a tribute to the company's founder, Dewan Gian Chand, who pioneered brewing and malt-making in India around sixty years ago. It took the company nearly six decades to make a single malt it felt worthy of his name. It is described as light, smooth and easy to drink, with a sweetish, spicy taste and peaty, fruity notes.
