Doc Swinson's Exploratory Cask French Toasted Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Toasted French Oak Casks (75cl, 55.3%)

Doc Swinson's Exploratory Cask French Toasted is a bourbon finished in toasted French oak, and the first release in the brand's double oak line. It is bottled at 55.3% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The whiskey was distilled at MGP and matured in American white oak for a minimum of 5.5 years. It then went into new, medium-toast French oak casks from Taransaud Cooperages in Cognac, made from Troncais oak seasoned for at least 36 months. The bourbon combines two mash bills: 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley, and 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. The tasting notes are dark chocolate and stone fruits, with toasted vanilla, clove and baked apple bread.
