A Dolcetto d'Alba DOC from Seghesio, from the hills around Alba.
It is ruby red with violet reflections, with a generously fruity nose of cherry and plum and a hint of bitter almond. On the palate it is fresh, with pleasant acidity and soft but present tannins, ending clean and persistent.
It suits Italian meat dishes and simpler fare such as pizza, and is well suited to informal sharing.
