This is a single-cask Aultmore from Douglas Laing's Provenance range, a six-year-old Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in May 2011 and bottled in August 2017 at 46% ABV. The spirit matured in a refill hogshead, cask DL12072, which yielded 452 bottles. On the nose there is vanilla custard, coffee-and-walnut cake, cedar and cereal. The palate brings black pepper, vanilla tablet, honey and apricot, with sweet barley and a touch of citrus. The finish is of good length, with sultanas, peaches, barley and gentle spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
