Double Barrel is a Douglas Laing bottling that pairs Bowmore with Inchgower. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Bowmore brings pine needles, sea salt and gentle peat to the nose, joined by malt sweetness, honey, green apples and citrus. Inchgower adds a herbal green tea note.
The palate is warm and medium to light in texture, with coastal saltiness suggesting fresh oysters and seaweed, balanced by caramel, white chocolate and vanilla, with a little black pepper and spiced oak. The finish is medium to long, with a complex smoky aftertaste, toffee sweetness, damp earth and a fresh touch of mint.
