Douglas Laing's Rock Island Finished in Tequila Cask (70cl, 48%)

Rock Island is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. This limited edition is made from single cask single malts from Orkney, Arran, Jura and Islay, among other islands. Each of these malts has been finished in ex-tequila casks, adding a new depth of flavour to a style the maker describes as subtle, smoky and sweet. The nose offers citrus, bonfire smoke and a creamy crème brûlée note. The palate is viscous, with crisp apple, caramel and strong vanilla set against peated malt. The finish is long, with brown sugar and toasted oak.
