Douglas Laing's Rock Island Maritime Island Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Rock Island is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, in a 70cl bottle. It brings together single malts distilled on Scotland's whisky islands, with flavours of the surrounding seas. The character is maritime, salty and slightly smoky. The nose has wave-soaked rocks and a fresh, salty influence from the ocean. The palate is subtle, with soft, fairly sweet peat alongside smoke, honey, damp ash, liquorice and late pepper. The finish echoes all of this.
