Douglas Laing's Timorous Beastie Highland Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46.8%)

Timorous Beastie is a small batch Highland blended malt from Douglas Laing, bottled at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The blend brings together aged Highland malts, among them whisky from Glen Garioch, Dalmore and Glengoyne. The nose is sweet at first, then turns floral with light barley and spicy honey. The palate opens spicy, with raisin and a sugary, fudge-like character. The finish is sweet and gentle, with oak, milky cereal and a late note of meringue.
