Douglas Laing's Timorous Beastie Small Batch Release (70cl, 46.8%)

Timorous Beastie is a Highland blended malt from Douglas Laing, bottled as a small batch release at 46.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The blend brings together selected Highland malts, among them Glen Garioch, Dalmore and Glengoyne. The nose is sweet at first, then turns floral, with light barley and spicy honey. The palate opens with spice, raisin and a sugary, fudge-like character. The finish is subtle and sweet, with oak, milky cereal and a late touch of meringue.
