A blended malt from Douglas Laing's Epicurean range, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition, finished in Rivesaltes wine casks from Languedoc-Roussillon in southern France.
Rivesaltes is a fortified wine and its casks are rarely used for maturing Scotch. The finish is said to bring a silky richness and a playful sweetness to the malt.
The nose is orchard fruit, wildflowers and honeyed white grapes. The palate offers apricot tart, citrus peel, vanilla custard and a touch of peppery oak. The finish is crisp and rounded, waxy, floral and dry.
