Douglas Laing The Gauldrons Campbeltown Blended Malt Sherry Cask Finish (70cl, 46.2%)

A blended malt from Douglas Laing, made from Campbeltown malt whiskies and finished in Spanish sherry casks. It is a sherried version of The Gauldrons, bottled at 46.2% in a 70cl bottle. The finishing period adds dried fruit, chocolate and festive spice to a softly smoky whisky. The nose brings toasted marshmallow, oatcake, toffee apple and cinnamon. On the palate are sultana, nutmeg, earthy smoke, damson and black pepper. The finish is milk chocolate with a lingering savoury smokiness.
