Dragonjuice Batch 2 is a peated 10 year old single malt from Whisky Druid, bottled at 50.2% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky comes from an undisclosed distillery on the Isle of Mull, and 951 bottles were filled. It is not chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
It combines whisky from four first-fill casks: a ruby port barrique, a PX sherry hogshead, an oloroso sherry hogshead and a red wine barrique. The youngest component is ten years old.
The nose opens with dry, ashy wood smoke, then peat, dried fruit, ripe apricot and a hint of hazelnut. The palate is strong and peaty with dark fruit sweetness, turning softer and earthier. The finish is long, with peat smoke, deep sweetness and dark fruit.
