This is a 20 year old Dufftown single malt from Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask series, matured in a sherry cask and bottled in 2002.
The sherry influence is clear from the start. The nose offers dried fruit, dark chocolate and light oak, and the palate carries the cask through with coffee, toffee, oak and dried fruit over a pleasant sweetness.
It is full-bodied, with a very long finish.
