Dumangin Bourbon Ratafia Finish Batch 005 (70cl, 46%)

A limited-edition bourbon bottled by Dumangin in 2020 at 46% ABV, from batch 005. The mash bill includes 28.5% rye, and the whisky was distilled in the USA. It is about five years old and has been finished in Ratafia Champenois casks. The rye is said to give a drier character than a traditional bourbon, while the Ratafia softens the whole. The first three years of ageing took place in new barrels in the USA, as bourbon requires.
