This is a single-cask, cask strength rye whisky from East London Liquor Co., bottled at 57% in a 70cl bottle without chill-filtration. The mash bill is 55% Norfolk rye and 45% Maris Otter barley. The spirit was aged for 4.5 years in a single second-fill Chardonnay cask, and the run produced 273 bottles. The nose is gently floral, with ripe apple, strawberry, apricot and fresh hay. On the palate, orchard fruit sits over crème caramel, with leather and spice developing behind it. The finish is gentle and persistent, with the orchard fruit still present.
