This is a 10 year old single malt from Edradour, the smallest distillery in Scotland. It comes from the eastern Highlands and is described as a rum-like dram with a full mouthfeel.
The nose is complex, with fruity aromas, sherry, sweetness and lingering vanilla. The palate is sticky, with notes of rum, barley and roasted almonds. The finish is a little puzzling in the best way, with spiced fruitcake and crème anglaise.
