A ten-year-old Highland single malt Scotch whisky from Edradour, bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The distillery stands in the hills above Pitlochry and is described as Scotland's smallest traditional distillery, making just 12 casks a week from malted barley in copper pot stills.
The nose is honey, vanilla fudge, dried fruit and raisin, with orange peel and soft baking spice. The palate is creamy and thick, with toffee, caramel, stewed apricot, sultana, a rum-like sweetness, dark chocolate and nutmeg. The finish is warm and lingering, with gentle spice, dried fruit, honey and toasted oak.
