This Edradour is an 11-year-old single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, limited to 363 bottles. It comes from a collaboration begun in January 2023 by Andrew Symington, Edradour's owner, with family-run wineries in Germany.
The whisky spent just over seven years in first-fill bourbon casks, then 46 months finishing in Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) casks from the Pawis winery in Freyburg, founded in 1991.
The nose has red forest berries, vanilla and cinnamon-tinged oak. The palate is velvety and creamy, with strawberry and cherry, then oak, grated almonds and vanilla. The finish is long and dry, with fruit, oak and cinnamon.
