Edradour – 2007 18 Year Old Small Batch Dal Forno Romano Valpolicella Amarone Casks (70cl, 46%)

Edradour 2007 18 Year Old Small Batch is a single malt in a 70cl bottle, matured for 18 years in first-fill Amarone hogsheads from Dal Forno Romano in Valpolicella. It is bottled at 46% ABV, without artificial colouring or chill filtration. The Amarone casks set the distillery's robust, fruit-forward spirit against the concentrated, dried-grape character of the wine, bringing stewed berries, black cherries and plums. Long maturation adds dark chocolate, muscovado sugar and warming oak spice. The finish is long and richly tannic, with lingering dark fruit, cocoa and peppery spice.
