Elements of Islay Bourbon Cask is a blended malt Scotch whisky and one of three core range bottlings, alongside Cask Edit and Sherry Cask. It is matured in first-fill and refill Bourbon barrels and bottled at 54.5% ABV.
The blend pairs classic barbecue smoke from a South Coast Islay distillery with zestier, more subtle flavours from the North Coast.
The nose is sweet, with vanilla pods, tropical fruit and faint coal smoke. On the palate come chocolate-dusted cappuccino, vanilla custard brioche and a peat fire, and the finish is creamy vanilla with a hint of peat smoke.
